On October 27, Ivan Petkov's team will play their second match in the Czech Extraliga against the Sokol club from the city of Frydek-Mistek. It will take place at the opponent's court at 18:00 Kyiv time.

We would like to remind you that the "red and white" started the Czech championship with an "easy" victory over "Olomouc". For their part, their closest rivals lost to Shelma Brno with a score of 3-0.

For Ukrainian volleyball fans, "Sokol" is primarily interesting because it has Ukrainian outside hitter Anna Shumeiko. In addition to her, the colors of the team are protected by two more legionnaires - Brazilian 
middle blocker Tamier Mello and Canadian outside hitter Natalie Livingston. All of these athletes joined the Czech club this past off-season.

In the match against "Shelma", the most effective volleyball players in "Sokol" were the already mentioned Mello (earned 13 points), Marketa Petrova (14), and captain Veronika Strushkova (9). However, as we said earlier, the girls' efforts were not enough even to win the party.

This is not the first year that the team from Frydek-Mistek has been led by the Czech Alexandra Dedkova, who at one time represented Sokol as a player.

The last season, probably, cannot be called successful for our opponents. According to the results of the "regular" season of the Extraliga, they took the last qualifying place for the playoffs, where they were already eliminated from "Dukla" at the quarter-final stage.

Svitlana Dorsman, the captain of SC "Prometey" shared her expectations for the upcoming confrontation: 

- We are not yet familiar with this team. We've only seen one game of "the Sokol", so it's hard to say how they play. We need to get on our game and do all the interactions. If we do this and complete the setup for the match, then success awaits us!
