SC "Prometey" — "Olomouc" 3:0 (25:20, 25:12, 25:19)

On October 22, Ivan Petkov's team made their debut in the Czech championship at the nominally home arena in Kutná Hora. Their opponents in the reporting round (4th according to the calendar) were volleyball players from Olomouc. The latter, by the way, started in the Extraliga a day earlier with a 3-1 victory over the "Shelma Brno" club.

This moment didn't add optimism to "Prometey". All the more so because three Olomouc players demonstrated their good scoring form in that match, namely: Milana Raylich from Serbia (earned 18 points), Zuzana Shepelova from Slovakia (17), and Viktoriia Mostsytska from Ukraine (12). We are happy to note the fact that the Ukrainian women managed to completely neutralize the urge of the mentioned performers!

After the success in the previous round, the Czechs started the meeting with "Prometey" with courage - 0:2. For their part, the representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk region responded with a rush - 4:2. However, our volleyball players, unfortunately, did not manage to secure the status of leaders right away - 5:8.

The distance of three points between the opponents was maintained for a certain time — 15:18. At the end of the set, thanks to the effective actions on the block by Daria Velykokon and Svitlana Dorsman, as well as Viktoriia Danchak's aces, "red and whites" turned the tide of the match and finally took the lead - 20:19.

Oleksandra Milenko, who became the best scorer of the meeting (scored 14 points), gave an impressive performance. Her attacks were never "covered" by the opponents - 23:20. Soon, Marharyta Stepanenko, by hitting the ball over the Olomouc players, put an impressive end to this set - 25:20.

The next set started with a long rally, which ended in favor of Ivan Petkov's team and gave them confidence in their own abilities. Ukrainians began to dominate in all elements of the game, and hence such a gap in the score — 15:5.

Martin Groh tried to encourage his players during time-outs and point out their mistakes, in particular, in reception. However, it was already impossible to stop "Prometey" at that moment - 25:12.

At the beginning of the third set, the Czechs made it clear that they were not going to give up just like that - 2:5. They have already fully adapted to the game of our team, but their simple mistakes in the attack and desperate actions of Petkov's team in defense did not allow "Olomoutz" to count on something serious in this match.

Even before the middle of the set, the "red and whites" organized a spurt and left their opponents in the role of catching up - 14:10. Once again, it is worth noting the actions of the Prometey players on the block. As for the attack, in general, they played quite judiciously and variedly, alternating the flanks and the middle blockers — 25:19.

As a result, our sportswomen celebrated a confident victory in three sets, for which we congratulate them! Ukrainians will play their next match in the Czech Extraliga on October 27 against the team "Fridek-Mistek". Watch the online video broadcast on the YouTube channel DIVISPORT VOLLEYBALL
