Thanks to positive results and a correspondingly high position in the FIVB ranking, Ivan Petkov's wards entered the qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The first 24 teams, according to the abovementioned ranking as of September 2022, will compete in the qualification. France, as the host country, entered the Olympics automatically. The last five tickets will be determined after the conclusion of the group stage of the Nations League 2024.

The application of the women's national team of Ukraine for the main draw of the European Championship 2023 has become known. The blue-yellow team, under the leadership of Ivan Petkov, will play their matches in the group stage of the continental championship in the Belgian city of Ghent from August 18 to 24. Their opponents in Group A will be volleyball players from Serbia, Hungary, Belgium, Slovenia, and Poland. Four teams will advance to the next round.
