The women's volleyball team "Prometey" sets itself another challenge in the European arena. On October 22, at 16:00, Ivan Petkov's team will play against Olomouc in the strongest Czech Extraliga division. The broadcast of the match, which will take place in the city of Kutna Hora, will be available on YouTube-channel DIVISPORT VOLLEYBALL. 

We would like to remind you that this season our club is represented in two championships of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. In addition, the "red and whites" have already made their debut in the Central European League (MEVZA), and are also waiting for appearances in the CEV Champions League. 

In the last season of the regular championship of the Czech Republic, "Olomouc" took third place out of ten possible. At the stage of the playoffs, it reached the semi-finals without any particular problems, where it lost to Brno. It is interesting that the team from the city of the same name, Olomouc, led the series to three victories with a score of 2-1, but managed to lose the final matches on a tie-break.   

After unfortunate failures, our closest opponents were forced to fight only for the bronze awards in the competition against "Dukla" (Liberets). The latter in that season played in the group stage of the Champions League, which speaks of the high class of the team. In the end, Olomouc won only one set in the face-to-face two-match confrontation and was left without championship medals. 

"Olomouc" is headed by the Czech specialist Martin Groh, who is also a member of the coaching staff of the national women's team of the Czech Republic. One of the leaders of the club is the Slovak player Zuzana Shepelova. By the way, the athlete was on the list of the top 10 scorers of the last draw of the Extraliga.
