SC "Prometey" — "Přerov" 3-1 (21:25, 25:10, 25:8, 25:19)
In the match of the 20th round of the Czech championship, "Prometey" faced the outsider of the competition - the "Přerov" team. In the first circle, the Ukrainians defeated their rivals with a score of 3-0. Today they repeated their success and climbed to the top of the tournament table.
"Red and Whites" started this meeting quite confidently. In particular, the serve and the block worked out well, due to which they scored break points again and again - 7:2. The coach of the guests, Radim Vlcek, took advantage of two time-outs even before the middle of the set because the successful actions of Oleksandra Milenko and Myrta Grbac strengthened the leadership of their team to seven points - 11:4.
After that, the Czechs seized the initiative, and a real struggle began on the floor - 14:12. It's time for Ivan Petkov to take a time-out. The representatives of "Přerov" significantly improved their game on the net, and the Ukrainians, for their part, began to make mistakes more often in casual situations - 16:18, 19:21. Subsequently, two consecutive aces by Aneta Guskova put an end to the set - 21:25.
The next segment started with the sprut by "Prometey" — 3:0. It was noticeable that our athletes began to make decisions faster and act more aggressively in the attack. It paid off because their advantage only grew with each draw — 8:1, 19:8. Fortunately, nothing extraordinary happened in this set, and the nominal hostesses calmly brought it to their own victory - 25:10.
Such a confident triumph gave the "red and whites" a boost in the third set - 7:2. They did not allow their opponents much in the attack: they tightly "covered" the shots and responded in a timely manner to the bounces of the ball. Events developed too quickly, and soon after the double block of Daria Velykokon and Svitlana Dorsman, the lead of the Ukrainian club already reached 10 points — 14:4. However, they did not stop at this - 25:8.
The fourth set was the last of the match. Petkov's team continued to control the course of events on the court, which resulted in an overall victory — 25:19 and 3-1 in sets.
So, the players of "Prometey" took full advantage of the defeat of "Prostejov" against "Dukla" (1-3) in this round and eventually took first place in the Extraliga. Therefore, they will approach the Champions League game against the Romanian club "Alba Blaj", scheduled for January 10, in a quite good mood.
