On May 9, in Łódź, the men's volleyball team of Ukraine started preparing for the group round of the European Golden League 2023. The head coach of the Ukrainian team, Uģis Krastiņš has called 16 volleyball players to the national team.
Among them are three players from Dnipro's "Prometey": team captain and setter Vitalii Shchytkov, outside hitter Dmytro Yanchuk and libero Oleksandr Boiko.
Let's add that Yanchuk and Boiko made it to the list of the national team of Ukraine for the first time in their sports careers.
As for Shchytkov, the setter has been one of the main players of the national team not for the first year, and last year he became one of the creators of history when the team of Uģis Krastiņš took seventh place in the World Championship!
It should also be noted that Andrii Levchenko, the head coach of VC "Prometey" has been working in the coaching staff of the national team of Ukraine for several years now.

We would like to remind you that the men's national team of Ukraine will play in Group B against North Macedonia, Belgium, and Croatia in the group stage of the European Golden League-2023. The home court of the Ukrainians will be the arena in Łódź (Poland). The Ukrainians will play the opening match of the tournament on May 27 in Łódź against North Macedonia. The match starts at 20:00 Kyiv time.
