VC "Prometey" - "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" – 3:0 (25:22, 25:15, 25:13)
On January 18, VC "Prometey" victoriously started the third circle of matches in the regular championship of Ukraine.
The first opponent in the seventh round of the Super League-Budinvest was the team from Lviv "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18".
The starting set was even (8:8 – 18:18). It was clear that the teams had not yet reached their optimal shape after the New Year's break. At the end of the first set, the "youth" was able to take the lead (19:21), but their own mistakes prevented them from maintaining this minimal advantage (21:21). Then, during the serve of the "Prometey's" opposite Taras Oleksiuk, the "red and whites" broke ahead (24:21). And, in the end, they won the first set - 25:22.
The volleyball players from Dnipro completely controlled the second set (8:3). "Prometey" looked better in all elements of the game: in the attack (42%), on the serve (3 aces), and on the block (1 block). As a result, the "national team" was allowed to score only 15 points.
There were no drastic changes in the third set either: everything went according to the plan of Andrii Levchenko's team (12:8). Sometimes the opponent tried to resist, but due to their own mistakes, they did not have positive success. 25:13 and 3:0 as a result.
Today, the team from Dnipro won their 13th victory in the Super League-Budinvest 2022-2023.
The most productive player of the match was Taras Oleksiuk, the opposite of VC "Prometey". He scored 13 points. The player also received the MVP prize from the tournament organizers.
