The team of Andrii Romanovych started the new year 2023 with a victory. In their first match of the 7th round of the Super League-Dmart, they did not leave a single chance to the volleyball players of "Balta".
Our athletes seized the initiative right from the start, but their own mistakes prevented them from breaking away in the score, in particular, on the serve — 6:5. When "Prometey" managed to improve this element of the game, it became more difficult for the Balta team to score points - 9:5.
After two consecutive double blocks by Polina Dziuba and Kateryna Cherkashyna, the leadership of the "red and whites" became more tangible - 14:8. The coach of "Balta" Serhii Koltsov tried to correct the situation with 30-second breaks. But at that moment, Romanovych's players caught courage, and soon Dziuba put an end to this set with an ace - 25:11.
In the second set, "Balta" began to defend, due to which there was already an even fight on the court - 7:7. However, the team from Kamianske was gaining momentum, and their defensive actions over the net were especially noticeable - 15:11. Then we witnessed interesting and protracted rallies. Instead, the four-point distance between the clubs continued to hold until the representatives of Odeschyna ended the set with their own mistakes - 25:19.
A series of outs by the players of "Prometey" in the attack at the beginning of the third segment led to a confident leadership of Koltsov's team — 1:4, 5:8. Therefore, Andrii Romanovych was forced to take his first time-out in the match. Thanks to the efforts of Polina Dziuba, his players still equalized parity. And then her teammates Uliana Kotar and Daria Kaplanska spoke their word at 17:15. After that, the Balta team could not get back into the game - 25:18.
